We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land we live on – the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin nation – and of all the land (which has never been ceded) on which we work.

We pay our respects to indigenous Australian Elders past, present and emerging, and will endeavour to preserve, uphold and build from the wealth of traditional knowledge, skills and connection with the land held within the stories and works of indigenous cultures around the world.

New addition to @the_community_corner: a sweet sturdy table! Found, of course, in a hard-rubbish collection pile, this table was just the right size to fit on the verge between our fence and the public footpath, so we picked it up and took it home for a little makeover. 🍓

Buy It For Life. We bought this @opinelofficiel knife and these Mundial scissors new, but a lot of consideration went into the purchase of them. We bought them knowing they can be taken apart, cleaned, repaired, have elements replaced, and knowing that their quality is designed to last for decades.
We loved engaging with kids (small and big) over our ‘mystery art & science experiment’ which saw people making natural fabric dyes using weeds and food scraps, so we’ve got another little project on the go.
Coriander grows in a hanging basket we found on the side of the road. We filled it no-dig layers of straw, compost and fertiliser, and it hangs on the railing just outside the door close to the kitchen.
